What's New in 2012 The Tri-Lakes Center in Branson, Missouri is bringing several big stars to the stage in 2012. Branson shows always provide a great mix of entertainment to choose from, and that line-up is even better next season. Country music group Lonestar is reuniting for a 2012 tour, which will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band. Lonestar is set to perform on October 19 at the Tri-Lakes Center. The Teen Idols Tour comes to the Tri-Lakes Center on November 29, 2012. The show will featured The Monkees lead singer Mickey Dolenz and Herman’s Hermits lead singer Peter Noone. Both bands were extremely popular in the 1960s and the show is sure to be a hit in Branson. Don Williams returns to the Tri-Lakes Center on October 6. The Tri-Lakes Center is teaming up with God & Country Theater to add even more special shows to its entertainment line-up. Country band Restless Heart will perform at 3pm and 8pm on September 22 and Crystal Gayle is set to perform at God & Country Theatre on November 10. The theatre will also host John Conlee with Bobby Bare on May 12; Ronnie Milsap on June 12; David Frizzell with Shelly West on October 13; Jim Ed Brown and Helen Cornelius on October 20; and Janie Fricke on October 27. Here is a quick rundown of the changes coming to shows in 2012: • SIX is moving to the Mickey Gilley Theater • Liverpool Legends is moving their show to the Icon Theater • The Baldknobbers have added a matinee show to their schedule • Branson Variety Theater – A Tribute to the Four Seasons & The Beach Boys • The Haygoods and Buck Trent are moving their show to the RFD-TV Theater • 3 Redneck Tenors and Todd Oliver are moving to the Americana Theater • Red, Hot & Blue will be featured at the Clay Cooper Theater • Music City Centre will now be home to Joey Riley, Taylor Reed and Doug Gabriel • Tony Roi, best known for his “Elvis Experience” show, will headline the Caravelle Theater Branson Centennial - Branson Celebrates 100 Years of Heritage, Hospitality and Harmony. For more information about Branson's 100th Birthday and the year-long commemoration planned, visit Branson100.org Titanic Museum Attraction - It has been 100 years since a lookout in the crow’s nest shouted, “Iceberg right ahead!” On April 14, it will have been a century since the RMS Titanic was lost. Throughout 2012, Titanic Museum Attraction will pay respect to and honor the 2,208 passengers and crew members with an ongoing series of special events, activities and ceremonies. Joseph - An original production from Sight & Sound Theatres, comes to Branson April 2012. This epic, timeless story about the power of forgiveness will delight audiences of all ages as they experience the larger-than-life productions. Audiences will leave this show energized by the character of Joseph, renewed in their faith, and inspired to dream big for God’s glory! See the World in Branson - See The World In Branson, the annual month long Ozark Mountain Spring event, highlights the vast amount of internationally inspired entertainment, attractions, and cuisine available to visitors in the Branson area. It allows visitors the opportunity to enjoy multiple cultural and experiences in entertainment and other traditions without actually having to travel abroad. Brady Brunch - Barry Williams played Greg Brady the oldest of six on the iconic show from the ’70s. From 1969 to 1974, Williams played the nation’s most recognizable big brother. His love for music is a big part of his new show, “Brady Brunch” at Yakov’s Theatre a family-friendly cabaret, full of music, stories, laughter and up-close interaction (sans alcohol). While brunch is served, Williams joins the audience for a meal and conversation. “it” at Hughes Brothers Theatre - Where over 50 singers, dancers and musicians create a new entertainment experience. The award-winning cast features the Hughes Brothers and their families. Lennon Morning Show - The Lennon Morning Show at the ICON Theatre stars longtime Branson entertainers Gail Lennon, Mike Cathcart and Bill Lennon as they perform the songs of Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Brian Wilson, James Taylor, Peter, Paul & Mary to Crosby, Stills & Nash and many more. Oh What A Night! - A musical tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons performing this season at Moon River Theatre. The Finalists - Featuring five top 10 American Idol finalists on the Moon River stage. You will see and hear your favorite AI singers live and up-close. The Official Tribute: Songs of the Four Seasons and The Beach Boys - A full production musical performance at Branson Variety Theatre that debuts in March and runs through December. The Miniature Pet Circus - Singing Ringleaders, Acrobats, Jugglers, Clowns Magic and the adorable Miniature Pet Circus runs May through August at Branson Variety Theatre. Andy Williams 75th Year in Show Biz - Come celebrate Andy’s 75 years of entertaining the world in 2012! Guest stars coming in the Fall include Dick Van Dyke, Jack Jones, Pat and Debby Boone and many more. Lennon Sisters Christmas Show - Christmas with The Lennon Sisters at Andy Williams Moon River Theatre is a warm and exciting journey down memory lane. Filled with music you love to hear and video highlights of their fabulous career, all generations are sure to enjoy. Complete with the joy and glow of the Holiday Season, the Sisters, Kathy, Janet and Mimi are joined by Janet’s three granddaughters for lots of laughter and very special song and dance routines…America dubbed them “The Sweethearts of Song” many years ago, and that perfect blend of harmonious voices continues to this day. New Dewey Short Visitor’s Center to Open in Spring - April 2012, a new Dewey Short Visitor Center near Table Rock Dam, off Missouri State Highway 165, will open. A 15,000-square-foot visitor center will feature an auditorium, gift shop and educational area for exhibits and conference rooms. The lake itself will also become part of the new exhibit experience. Baldknobbers Donate Artifacts to Smithsonian - The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History received a collection from the Mabe family that included a washtub bass, banjo, Dobro guitar, washboard and a mule’s jawbone that provided rhythm. The articles document the long and rich history of the variety jamboree show and its place in American entertainment culture. National Touring Acts - Throughout the year, a number of major touring artists such as Ray Price, B.J. Thomas, Ronnie Milsap, Don Williams, Restless Heart, Crystal Gayle, John Conlee, Bobby Bare, Janie Fricke, David Frizzell & Shelly West, Jim Ed Brown & Helen Cornelius, Daniel O’Donnell, “Teen Idols Tour” with Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone, and Monkees Lead Singer Micky Dolenz, and others perform limited dates in concert.
